We launched a new project in our physics class based off the text we have been reading "Nature" by R. W. Emerson. The first assignment was to create a Parallax. Which is a displacement or difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight. We all had one photo where we had to make a animation from.
Based off the image we had to make it move and in order to do so we had to use the two different programs After Effects and Photoshop. In photoshop I had to create many different layers based off what I wanted to move. Something that was very beneficial was that it would automatically transfer to After Effects. When it came to working on After Effects it was a program that was very confusing and something I never used so it toke a lot of time to get some knowledge. When I started trying to make a movement it began to get complicated because what I wanted to move was the leg but it wouldn't be connected to her it would just move away from her and it didn't look like something natural a person would do. To fix this problem we had to go back to a video Scott had provided for us and really closely pay attention to what was going on step by step. After doing that it didn't really help the problem we were having so we went to a classmate and the mistake my partner and I made was that we made the leg a different layer so what we needed to do was connect her torso and a little bit of her leg by merging the layers on Photoshop and it was easily transferred over to After Effects. By going through this whole process I went through the process Mistake.Learn. Grow.
